Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The AI model runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your images never leave your device. 100% private — no server logs, no data collection.

Why does the first run take longer?

The RMBG-1.4 AI model (~45MB) downloads once from Hugging Face CDN and gets cached in your browser. After the first use it loads instantly — no download again.

Which model quality should I pick?

"Best Quality" for portraits, hair, and complex edges. "Balanced" for product images. "Fast" or "Mobile" for batch processing or slower devices.

What format is the output?

Transparent background = PNG with alpha channel. If you pick a background color, it exports as PNG with that fill. JPEG doesn't support transparency.

Is there a limit on image count or size?

No hard limits. Constrained only by your device RAM. Very large images (20MP+) may be slower. If you have WebGPU (modern Chrome/Edge), processing is 5–10x faster.
